BACKGROUND
The Detect Now family of drug detection field test kits are reliable, user and
environmentally friendly field-test reagents for the establishment of probable cause. These
products aid in attempting to detect and identify the presence of illegal drugs such as
Cocaine, Crack, Marijuana, Methamphetamine and Heroin. A positive test indicates the
probability that an illegal narcotic is present. However, there are occasions when these tests
will show false positive readings for uncontrolled substances. Thus, all positive reactions
should be submitted along with the untested evidence to a forensic or qualified laboratory
according to your particular agency's evidence handling protocol. These products offer
several distinct advantages:
- Increased Opportunities for Use
Narcotic identification products have been available to law enforcement personnel
for a number of years. These products have been used primarily for field
verification of seized quantities of a suspected narcotic. These tools are typically
used at the end of the investigative process. Detect Now products, however, offer
a number of exciting new uses never before available. By utilizing a patented,
aerosol delivery system we have dramatically increased the sensitivity of the
narcotic reagent (200% - 300% more sensitive than other products.) Consequently,
law enforcement personnel have for the first time a detection tool, which can be
used during any stage investigative process. (e.g. checking lockers, traps,
packages, vehicles, hands, searches by officers and/or K-9 units, suspected
narcotic paraphernalia, etc.)
- Environmentally Friendly
All of our products have been designed to eliminate both environmental as well as
personal hazards. We have successfully removed both glass ampoules and
dangerous chemicals from all of our products. The issues of disposing of
hazardous chemicals is no longer a concern.

Ease-of-Use
Detect Now products do not require in-depth training. Simply spray and watch for
a color reaction. Reactions appear in seconds. Discerning variations in color hue
are no longer necessary. If the collection test paper changes color, this is
considered a positive response. In addition, we are looking for families of narcotics
(e.g. cocaine, crack). This limits the number of tests and subsequently, money and
time spent in the field.

- Non-Destructive
Testing
The majority of our products are non-destructive tests. In other words, the process
of testing a seized quantity or residue does not destroy the sample. Therefore,
laboratory confirmation may be determined using the collection or test paper. In
addition, the issue of reducing the gram weight of a seizure is eliminated, thus,
increasing the number of felony convictions.
